4. Nilgiri Biosphere Nature Park

The Nilgiri Biosphere Nature Park is a great initiative by the Tamil Nadu government to protect the Nilgiri Mountain Range’s exotic and rich flora and fauna. The park, first established in 1936, is home to over 430 types of trees and plants, as well as several reptiles, birds, and mammals. The park also has a variety of rare flowers. 5. Amaravathi Sagar Crocodile Park

The Amaravati Sagar Crocodile Farm is a slightly different kind of park. With approximately 430 crocodiles in captivity, this is one of India’s largest crocodile nurseries. This crocodile park first officially opened in 1975, and since then, it has grown to include a huge number of adult-sized crocodiles from exotic species such as Marsh, Persian, and Mugger crocodiles. To ensure the species’ massive increase, these species are bred in-house. Many wild crocodile nests can be found along the reservoir’s edge. Crocodile eggs are collected here and hatched, after which they are reared at the park. Visitors to this farm, however, must take extra precautions because some of the crocodiles are dangerous.
