3. Ratnagiri Murugan TempleRatnagiri Balamurugan temple is an ancient Hindu temple in Ratnagiri, 12 km from Vellore, on the Thirumanikundram hill. Kundrothoradal is a part of one of the five Murugan shrines that were built around the 14th century AD. To get to the temple, visitors must walk a minimum of 130 steps. The temple was previously just a sand structure, but it has now been converted into a stone shrine that attracts pilgrims from all across the country. The Tamil New Year, di Krittika celebrations (Lord Murugan’s birthday), and Kanda Shashti celebrations, a 6-day festival, are the main events celebrated in the temple.

4. Sri Margabandeeswarar Temple

Virinjipuram Temple, popularly known as Sri Margabandeeswarar Temple, is located in Virinjipuram Village, about 14 kilometers from Vellore City. The Chola Dynasty is famous for the stunning artistic stonework on its walls and the palatial Dravidian architecture of the temple, which is located in the state of Tamil Nadu on the southern bank of the Palar River. Lord Shiva in the form of a lingam is the Mulavar or primary deity of the temple. Although pilgrims from all over India visit Virinjipuram Temple throughout the year, the Temple’s vitality is at its height during the three ten-day celebrations of Theerthavari, Shivratri, and Navarathri, and the festivities are a sight to behold. Other deities adored by devotees are Maragadambhikai, Ganapathy, and Lord Brahma, also known as Virinjan, in the form of a child, who are all kept in the temple.

5. St. John’s ChurchSt. John’s Church is one of the biggest churches in South India, and it is a part of the Churches of South India. The Reform Church of America established the church in 1846. (RCA). The church was moved from the Filterbed Road to the fort’s present location. The British soldiers who died during the Sepoy Mutiny were buried on the premises of the chapel. Many inscriptions in the church provide information about the shrine’s history. In this church, regular prayers are still held on a regular basis.
